The new utility builds a smaller installer, so if you have a 75 meg installer, it’s not the right one. Here’s where we’re at:
76 meg installer: Works OK in all cases (but isn’t quite up to date)
68 meg installer: The latest version - but there are reports it does not install properly on some systems. It appears a complete uninstall solves the problem. Here’s how to do so properly:
- Do Windows Uninstall of NSB AppStudio.
- Get rid of NSB AppStudio folder in c:/Program Files (x86) if it is there.
- Get rid of NSB AppStudio folder in c:/Program Files if it is there.
The new install utility is completely 64 bit. Unfortunately, the Windows Uninstaller does not always completely uninstall the old version, leaving some old 32 bit files around. These interfere with the running of the new version.
We’ll continue to monitor this to make sure this is the actual solution.
