PhoneGap is constantly tinkering with its components. It’s a moving target. By default, it builds using cli-6.5.0. The latest version is cli-8.0.0. Some of the components have been updated, so they only work with later versions of PhoneGap.
The fix is to change the version of PhoneGap being used, or to tell PhoneGap to use an older version of the plugin.
