There is no option with Open Street Map
You don’t need a credit card to get a google maps api key but you only get so many map views for free.
Apple maps is totally free with an Apple developer program membership.
So now I’ve actually found an Open street map demo in the NS Basic app, it was a bit hidden, so I’ll try my luck…
Unfortunately, I don’t know yet how I can integrate other maps into my program, but I’ll give it a try
While the api calls are different, they pretty much all work the same.
The last time I looked at t and ran the numbers here’s what I found:
Google has limits and after that it costs money but free cheap and easy to do an MVP.
OpenStreetMaps you ether end up hosting the maps paying a host. While still cheaper than google, still expensive.
Apple requires that $99 membership but is otherwise free.
Thanks for the information, unfortunately Google wanted the credit card number in advance for the free version… The Openstreetmap demo from NS BASIC runs on Android, unfortunately not on my iPhone, I probably still need permission to access the location, similar As with the Compass, does anyone happen to know the command, or am I wrong?
