When an image is cut using the AS IDE, the src file is deleted from the hard drive. When you repaste the image back into a form, it does report that the src image file no longer exists. It does allow you to paste it that way, and it leaves the broken pointer.
If you paste the image into a common controls container, you do not get the error message about the missing src file. A message should be presented in this scenario as well.
