I have an Input Field (bs4 Input) that I use for PIN entry. On Android, every keyboard except DEFAULT pushes the bottom of the form up and distorts the fields. The DEFAULT keyboard floats over the form and does not cause a problem. However, the DEFAULT keyboard requires that you hit the NUMERIC key before you can enter a number; this is awkward for the user. When the Android keyboard is on the screen you can change a setting on the keyboard and cause it to float, avoiding the problem. Is there a way to programmatically cause a keyboard to float?
