Icon in the Electron app

I can’t make an icon in the Electron app on Windows 10.
I put a png file in the main folder and assigned it to the icon property, to Electron/icon and VoltBuilder/icon.
I tested on sizes 524 and 1024, png and ico

Please help

I just tried the sample which comes with AppStudio. The icon appears properly. Can you try that to see if it works for you?

PS. The icon size should be 512, not 524. Is that just a typo in your message?

Yes, I have 512, that’s a typo.

Could you explain it to me in more detail, or maybe I could get your example?

Check out the ElectronWeather sample which is installed with AppStudio.

I enabled developer settings but it didn’t help. Is Windows the cause?

What icon is appearing for the app you built with Electron?

I’ve tried everything, it’s still the standard electron icon

I run it using the menu: Run/Run Desktop App using Electron or Run/Make Desktop App for Distribution using Electron

Not sure what is going on here…

  1. Can you confirm you’re testing with the sample, not your own app?

  2. Can you send a screenshot of the icon?

  3. In the AppStudio About screen, there is an option to View Logs. Can you see if the log has any information about the icon?

To run: menu/Run/Run Desktop App using Electron I need to save ‘ElectronWeather’ on disk.

Now I run it by command: menu/Run/Run Desktop App using Electron
and this is how the running application looks like. The icon on the windows bar and the icon in the upper left corner of the application is different than “512.png” (this is in Electron/icon(524) )
