to check how/if it works and to test if the generated PDF’s are correct etc.

…this only works via a native build (using Cordova, Volt.Build, …), right?

This should run in the browser - it is all in JavaScript. You need to include the libraries in your app (drag them into the Project Explorer panel) so they are loaded with your app.
